Broken Promise Mine

The 'Broken Promise Mine' file is part of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation's Arizona records. In the 1930s, the RFC was created by the federal government to finance the development and operation of gold, silver and tin mines. The RFC contacted the Arizona Department of Mines, asking it to provide an analysis and review of applications from Arizona for preliminary development loans. These files are the result of their investigations.
